Resource Audit Analysis

The resource Audit is where I have put down ideas for my music videos, like a plan I have included all the details I would need to have when making a Music video. The first part of the resource audit I focused on the actors which would be apart of my music video, most of the people I needed for the video where friends that I know from school, I chose particular people to feel the places of particular characters which I am thinking about having in my music video. I also chose people that I new could perform and had some acting skills, as I am thinking about doing a video which some people may have to dance I needed to be careful and choose someone who is able to dance and is trained in dancing.
The next step was choosing the appropriate locations for the music video. I need to choose locations which would link to the lyrics and the type of music. As the song I have chosen is more of a love song I have decided to have locations in romantic places, or places which would usually be linked with romance in films, such as train stations when people are departing from each other and leaving. I also chose places which represent a journey through the song, like a small story which the song is showing.
Finally to create the complete video, and include everything in mise en scene, I would need to ensure that all my characters looked the part, which meant I would need to dress them the way the song would represent them in the video. In my music video I have chosen to go with a 1950’s/1960’s theme, which would mean the characters with in it would need to have costumes would fit in with the era of the video. I would also need to ensure that all the props used with in the video also fitted the narrative of the video, which would mean I would need to remember that technology was not as well developed in that era meaning that things such as mobile phones would look out of place in the video I intend to create.
